You don’t have to wait until summer for special events at Orlando theme parks. This May, Walt Disney World, SeaWorld Orlando, and Busch Gardens Tampa are bringing guests new events, rides, runs and more. Here’s what’s happening at Orlando theme parks this May:

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival - This May springtime continues to bloom during the 2019 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Now through June 3 celebrate spring’s arrival with gorgeous gardens, outdoor kitchens, world-renowned Disney-themed topiaries, exhibits, outdoor concerts and more.

SeaWorld Orlando
Furry Friends Fun Run - Get fit with SeaWorld Orlando this May with their inaugural Furry Friends Fun Run May 11. The run takes guests through the new Sesame Street at the Orlando theme park. The run benefits the Sesame Street Yellow Feather Fun to help kids grow smarter, stronger and kinder through education, social impact programs and fun.

SeaWorld Inside Look - From May 11 - May 19 go behind-the-scenes at SeaWorld and meet the SeaWorld team and hear their personal stories about caring for the park’s animals. SeaWorld Inside Look includes 6 locations led by animal care experts and behaviorists as well as special guest appearances, and the Expert Explorer Pin. 

Electric Ocean - SeaWorld Orlando is celebrating summer nights with the return of Electric Ocean May 24 - September 1. The event includes worlds of light and music, glowing sea creatures, DJs, fireworks and more.

Busch Gardens Tampa
Safari of Fun Kids’ Weekends - Join Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird and other Sesame Street friends during Busch Gardens Tampa’s Sesame Street Safari of Fun Kids’ Weekends May 4 - May 19. The event includes hands-on activities, character parades and dance parties.

Tigris Pass Member Ride Times - If you’re a Busch Gardens Tampa Pass Member you can be one of the first to ride Tigris, Florida’s Tallest Launch Coaster. Enjoy the event May 4-12.

Cinco de Mayo - Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a party zone, festive dancing, food and drinks May 4-5.

Guy Harvey Weekend - May 11-12, join Guy Harvey for meet-and -greets, autographs and more.

Conservation Connections - Guy Harvey will also be the next speaker at Busch Gardens’ Conservation Connections on May 11.

Mother’s Day - Celebrate mom this Mother’s Day with a special trip to Busch Gardens Tampa. From May 11-12, mom can enjoy a special Mother’s Day buffet at the Serengeti Overlook Restaurant and a Serengeti Safari with a special gift.

Run for the Fund 2019 - On May 18 help support animal conservation efforts by taking part in SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund’s 5K Run.

Jack Hanna Weekend - Enjoy a wild weekend with Jack Hanna May 18 & 19. Join “Jungle Jack” for two days of animal shows, autograph signings and special meet-and-greets.

Pin Trading Weekend - If you’re a pin trader head to Busch Gardens May 25-27 for the Pin Trading Weekend. The first ever pin trading event will offer the chance to trade and purchase pins, as well as the opportunity to play games to trade for rare pins in addition to pin trading boards.

Summer Nights - End May with the first day of Busch Gardens’ Summer Nights. From May 31 - August 11, the park will offer special nighttime fun including fireworks, party zones, a summer selection of food and drinks and Busch Gardens’ thrill rides at night.
