Influenced by the Great American Northwestern National Parks at the early turn of the century, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge presents deluxe accommodations in a warm, cozy, and peaceful atmosphere. Nature is calling at this wildlife and nature inspired hotel.
Celebrating the true spirit of the early American pioneers, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge presents guests a hotel that is one with nature. Just one mile from Magic Kingdom ® Park, the Wilderness Lodge is gently tucked back among an assemblage of fresh pine trees. As you enter the impressive seven-story tall lobby, you will feel as if you have just entered an authentic National Park Lodge. The high wooden ceilings, crisp hardwood floors, stone pathways, 82-foot fireplace, and trickling nearby brooks, set the tone for the rest of the hotel. Other touches of Native American influence (such as giant tee-pee shaped chandeliers, real totem poles, and historic artwork) give the entire space a feeling of authenticity and unspoiled wilderness.
The two connecting wings to the lobby open up to present 727 themed guest rooms. The rooms carry out the wildlife and American pioneer themes with patchwork quilts upon the beds and a rich color palette of golds and browns. Each room is adorned with dark wood furniture, rich leather headrests, chiseled wildlife murals, private walk-in bathrooms with connecting marble sink and vanity station, and all of the amenities of home. Rooms provide private balconies or patios and stunning views of the surrounding forests and courtyards.
Embodying the great outdoors, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge centers their recreational options around the surrounding forests, lakes, springs, and hot-spring-geysers. The Silver Creek Springs pool sits at the center of the resort with a 15 foot waterfall cascading down into the large main pool. The nearby smaller pool of Hidden Springs gives guests a more intimate sunbathing option. If you are looking to experience the real outdoors, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge sits directly along the white sand shores of Bay Lake, offering entertainment options of watercraft rentals and fishing excursions. Also on-site are the Cub’s Den Children’s Club, a playground area, the Sturdy Branches Health Club & Spa, and other fun activities – such as Chip ‘n Dale’s nighttime Campfire Sing-a-long where guests can sing songs with their favorite twosome and watch a classic Disney movie under the stars.
Dining options on site celebrate authentic American cooking, with American, Barbeque, Steak, and fresh seafood options. Whispering Canyon Café offers family-style dining in an American Western themed atmosphere, Roaring Fork offers quick-service options, and Artist Point offers signature dining in an elegant atmosphere (inspired by the Pacific American Northwest).
