On your mark, get set, and go for Aqua Drag Racer at Wet ‘n Wild Orlando; you are not going to regret it! It is smooth, fast, and also has a few surprises in store for some riders. Now, Wet ‘n Wild Orlando is known to have the most multi-person water slides than any other water park, which makes it the perfect spot for families to share the rush together. In that same vein, Aqua Drag Racer puts families and friends head to head in a timed race toward the finish line that makes for some really great interaction not found in many parks. 
Let’s get into the slides. There are four unique slides on Aqua Drag Racer, all with different drops and turns. Once you pick up your mat and walk 65 feet above Wet ‘n Wild Orlando, you are ready to choose your slide. Now, what I found what’s great about Aqua Drag Racer is that the rider chooses how fast and how thrilling his or her experience is going to be. For the dare devils in the family that want to get the most of this 350 feet of winding track, when the life guard says “Go,” they can push off, and get a jump start for one of the most exhilarating and wonderful experiences you’ll do in Orlando. While others that are not concerned with getting the best time, they can start slower and still enjoy a smooth and exciting ride. A little note for the speedsters out there, when you go fast, prepare to get airborne for a split second once you exit the covered portion of the ride. When I first splashed down Aqua Drag Racer, my heart just about skipped a beat when I felt that feeling of weightlessness right in the crux of the slide. But riders that prefer a less intense experience, they can skip that feeling by not pushing off so fast, so it perfect for everyone in the family. 
Another aspect that I loved about Aqua Drag Racer is that you can see where you are going. The tunnels let in the perfect amount of light for you to really enjoy every twist and turn. And if you really want to get the best time, you’ll need to shift you weight with every turn to maximize your speed. At the end of the slide, you’ll see they’ve clocked in your time on the race board. The board will give you your time and what place you ranked on the race. I had loads of fun always trying to beat my fastest time. Aqua Drag Racer has a height requirement of 42 inches and is now open at Wet ‘n Wild Orlando, so what are you waiting for; I can’t think of a better way to jump spring summer!
