It doesn’t just show clips from 100 years of Universal’s most memorable movies, the Universal Studios Florida’s nighttime show Cinematic Spectacular – 100 Years of Movie Memories accompanies the most memorable clips from such Universal movies as “Jaws,” “Twister,” “Terminator” and more accompanied by incredible water effects from the show’s many flowing fountains and state-of-the-art water screens.
In fact, it’s those impressive water screens that make up most of the production. The 100 years of movie clips are projected right onto the glistening waterfall screens, adding a majestic approach to the memory of Universal’s best films. The entire show is broadcast over Universal’s lagoon, so it only seems fitting to incorporate water throughout the entire show.
Along with the state-of-the-art waterfall screens, Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular creates awesome images from the flowing water that surrounds the screens and stage. During the pre-show Universal shows off even more of it water effects by turning the water screens into very intricate patterns and logos like that of “ET,” “Jurassic Park,” “Psycho” and “Jaws.” And here’s the coolest part, no projectors are involved to create these images! Instead, the screens create and move the patterns just with the flow of and absence of water.
And as the clips play on the waterfall screens and water images flow around the stage there is one more water element that really brings the entire show together, colorful synchronized fountains that explode into the night air.
