Universal’s Volcano Bay water theme park will officially open May 25, 2017. We know you’re excited about the new water park but do you know what kind of thrills, fun and relaxation will be had at the new park? Best of Orlando is here to tell you all about Volcano Bay’s four areas and their accompanying rides and attractions:

Krakatua Area
  • Krakatua Volcano: Towering 220-feet above the park, Krakatau is an explosive volcano that sits at the center of Volcano Bay.
  • Krakatua Aqua Coaster: This technologically advanced slide launches your canoe uphill before sending riders downhill into a splashy plunge.
  • Ko’okiri Body Plunge: This thrill ride features a 125-foot drop door that thrusts you into a clear tube slide before landing into a pool below.
  • Kala and Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides: These twin slides offer twin trap doors to drop you and a friend at the same time
  • Punga Racers: Race your friends and family through under water sea caves with this four-line race slide.

Wave Village Area
  • Waturi Beach: At the base of Krakatua, Waturi Beach is a massive multidirectional wave pool, where guests are invited to swim and splash.
  • The Reef: A calm pool where guest can relax and see riders of Ko’okiri Body Plunge speed through the pool inside a clear tube slide.

River Village Area
  • Runamukka Reef: A water playground home to slides, water guns, geysers and more.
  • Tot Tiki Reef: A splashy place for toddlers to have some water fun.
  • Kopiko Wai Winding River: For those who want to relax and enjoy the sun, take a trip on this lazy river that will take you through hidden caves inside the volcano like Stargazer’s Cavern.
  • Honu: Take the family down an exciting raft ride that soars up two massive walls.
  • Ika Moana: A multi-person raft ride that goes across bubbling geysers.

Rainforest Village Area
  • Maku: North America’s first saucer ride that sends a multi-passenger raft speeding around saucer shaped curves.
  • Puihi: A dark multi-person funnel slide with a zero-gravity drop.
  • Ohyah & Ohno Drop Slides: Plummet down the twisting turns of Ohyah and Ohno Drop Slides and end with a splash because there’s a four and six foot drop to the pool below at the finale.
  • Puka Uli Lagoon: While most the attraction in the area are for high adrenaline seekers, this pool is calm and collective, so you can take a respite from the thrills.
  • TeAwa The Fealess River: White water rafting with the best of them, grab an inner tube and hang on tight on the roaring river journey.
  • Taniwha Tubes: Four Easter Island-inspired slides for single or double riders. We also heard that you have to watch out with the statues, they squirt water.

And that’s just some of the fun that’s happening at the new Volcano Bay opening May 25, 2017! We’ll let you know more details as the opening comes closer, but for now; I’ve made it a plan to get in shape for the opening. Keeping up with the kids doesn’t get any easier. That’s why I’ve made it a priority to be the best me I can be, so I can really enjoy and live every moment with my son without getting wiped out. Check our video out on YouTube and join the Volcano Bay Challenge. Give us a like, and comment please. I need your support, tips, goodwill, or all the above.
