Walt Disney World’s flagship resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is such a special place to visit. Along the monorail route of Disney’s Magic Kingdom, this Victorian-themed resort is truly a magical place. With fun character dining, a tearoom experience, a lively lobby, and some serious shopping, it’s easy to spend quite a few hours at this gorgeous resort.
Disney recently announced a third Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique location opening up at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa later this summer, but this isn’t the only new offering coming to the resort. This fall another new location inspired by the live-action Beauty and the Beast film is coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa!
In the location that was formerly Commander Porter’s and Mizner’s Lounge, Disney is thinking up an exciting lounge and bar experience that will transport you into the popular live-action Disney film. With four new and unique spaces, each inspired Belle and the Beast, guests can only expect magical results from this new offering.
The first new space will be a signature bar. It will glow from the light of a gorgeous, gold chandelier that has color inspiration from Belle’s iconic ball gown with subtle nods of the Beast’s magical red rose. The next space is formal library that will showcase classical baroque period designs. Even the french furnishings will be inspired by Belle and may include hints of some of Beast’s friends. This third new space is a garden room. This room will draw inspiration from the enchanted forest that Belle traveled through to reach Beast’s castle. The last new space is an outdoor patio area. Similar to the Beast’s garden terrace in his castle, this place will be a romantic outdoor getaway for guests.
This new and exciting project is still in the planning stages, but from the information we’ve been offered so far, it’s clear that will be something there that wasn’t there before! Whether you love the classic Disney film or not, this unique, themed lounge experience will be the first of its kind at the resort. So, if you’re visiting Walt Disney World this fall, don’t forget to swing by Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and see what all the magic and excitement of this resort is all about!
