Today we’re sharing five of the most sought-after dining reservations at Walt Disney World resort and how to lock them in for your vacation!
Space 220
This long-awaited restaurant is located in the World Discovery neighborhood of EPCOT and features on of the most unique dining experiences you’ll find on property. Guests make their way to the Centauri Space Station via an elevator to travel 220 miles above Earth. Space 220 features an out-of-this-world menu and panoramic views of space while you dine.
Due to its fairly recent opening, reservations to Space 220 can be hard to snag. The top tip for locking in any tough dining reservation is to be up bright and early 60 days out from your vacation to book on My Disney Experience. If you’re still unsuccessful, one option is attempting to grab a reservation at the Space 220 Lounge.
Space 220 also offers walk-up seating outside of the restaurant’s location. Once you arrive, ask a cast member if you can join the queue. This is a great option for guests trying to dine at one of Walt Disney World’s most popular restaurants.
Topolino’s Terrace
Topolino’s Terrace is open for breakfast and dinner daily at Disney’s Riviera Resort. This restaurant features French and Italian cuisine and stunning views of the resort’s grounds from high in the sky. Breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace features a character dining experience with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy and Breakfast a la Art.
While dinner reservations are a bit easier to secure, breakfast at this restaurant can be a tricky one to snag. Mickey and friends are wearing unique costumes you’ll only find at this restaurant and the breakfast offerings are exquisite. If you’re unable to secure dining reservations for your vacation 60 days out on My Disney Experience, we recommend checking the app periodically leading up to your trip. Cancellations happen all of the time and sometimes you’re able to swoop in and grab a reservation for your vacation!
Cinderella’s Royal Table
Who doesn’t want the opportunity to dine in Cinderella Castle? Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, Cinderella’s Royal Table offers a prix fixe menu of princess-inspired plates and a character dining experience with your favorite princesses. Fairytale Dining only recently returned, so snagging a reservation here has been more challenging than ever.
The best way to lock in your reservation is by booking your dining plans 60 days in advance, but if that doesn’t work out there’s always the walk-up list. Cinderella’s Royal Table has a walk-up list right in the My Disney Experience app that allows you to join if you’re within a short distance of the restaurant. While the walk-up list isn’t always available due to high demand, it doesn’t hurt to check when you’re in Magic Kingdom!
California Grill
California Grill offers some of the best views of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks nightly. Located at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you’ll have sweeping views of Cinderella Castle, the nighttime fireworks, and more. The menu is pricey, but it’s one of the most sought-after Disney reservations for a reason, right? As the 50th Anniversary comes to a close, California Grill promises a fresh new prix fixe menu for guests to enjoy.
Reserving your dining experience 60 days in advance is crucial, especially if you want to time out your reservation with the nightly fireworks display. If you’re not set on watching the fireworks from California Grill, it may be worthwhile to book a later dinner reservation when available. Check 2-3 days before your trip to see if any new openings arrive. Even day of, it doesn’t hurt to open the My Disney Experience app and see what new reservation slots have emerged!
‘Ohana
This restaurant is a staple dinner spot for Disney fans of all ages. Located in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort near the Magic Kingdom, ‘Ohana is a quick monorail ride away from the park. Open daily for breakfast and dinner, both meal times can be tough to snag. Since breakfast is an all-you-care-to-enjoy character dining experience with Lilo, Stitch, and Mickey, it’s booked up daily. ‘Ohana’s dinner experience is an all-you-care-to-enjoy experience that the whole family will love. Their Hawaiian-style dishes are always a guest favorite.
60 days out, you’ll want to be up bright and early to book your ‘Ohana reservation on My Disney Experience! If you miss out on this window, keep checking back leading up to your trip. We’ve seen reservations for both breakfast and dinner snagged 1-2 days in advance. Cancellations happen more often than you’d think! ‘Ohana also offers a walk-up list within the app, so check for availability there day of.
