No trip to a Disney Park is complete without a pair of mouse ears! Whether you go sparkly, classic, or something character-themed, mouse ears can be found throughout the Disney Parks around the globe as well as on the shopDisney website. From weddings and birthdays to various holidays throughout the year, there’s often a corresponding pair of mouse ears that will fit just perfectly!

Mouse ear lovers, rejoice! Disney just announced something pretty BIG when it comes to this department. Starting on Friday, May 24, 2019 guests of the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts will have access to series of Minnie Mouse ear headbands and Mickey Mouse ear hats! These new offerings are even designed by notable artists, celebrities, and designers -- a first for the Mouse Ear industry. Through each collaborator’s signature elements, this important park accessory is transformed into an array of never-before-seen looks! Won’t be heading to the parks anytime soon? No worries! shopDisney will also be offering these limited-release mouse ears on their website.

With each month a new design will be released! For example, some future bridal-inspired designs include a crystal-encrusted Mickey ear hat from The Blonds and hand sewn pearl and crystal embroidery on Minnie ears by Vera Wang. In the all-things-pink department guests can look forward to a fun design from Betsey Johnson featuring pink puff ears on a classic Minnie ear headband. There’s even a mommy-and-me option by Cupcakes and Cashmere!

Familiar brands who have worked with Disney before such as HARVEYS and COACH will be offering their creative take on mouse ears, and even supermodels Heidi Klum and Karlie Kloss will have their own mouse ear designs hitting the shelves in Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. Ashley Eckstein of Her Universe will be releasing a design inspired by a galaxy far, far away, and artists from around the globe will continue to tell the stories of beloved Disney characters in this whole new way!

Most of the upcoming designs will be inspired by Disney characters or iconic Disney attractions in the parks. One design that comes to mind within the new collection is a Mickey ear hat inspired by Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. Some mouse ears that haven’t yet been released are even designed by Disney Imagineers such as Kim Irvine, Kevin Rafferty, and Joe Rohde.
