Toy Story lovers of all ages can’t get enough of this exciting attraction. Toy Story Midway Mania takes guests right into Andy’s room to play carnival-style games and face off against family and friends. Here are five fast facts about Toy Story Midway Mania!

First Double Attraction
When it comes to Disney attractions, they are usually built in one park first as a tester and if found to be popular they make their way into other parks. Toy Story Midway Mania was the first attraction to be built in two parks at the same time. It opened first in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 31, 2008 and only about two weeks later it opened in Disney California Adventure on June 17, 2008.

Toy-Sized Fun
One of the coolest things about this attraction is the idea of being shrunk down to the size of a toy. While waiting in line, you’ll be greeted by nostalgia. Passing larger-than-life Lincoln Log houses, crayons, cards, board game pieces, and more! The Disney details are unmatched, and this queue is no exception.

Six Mini Games
While riding Toy Story Midway Mania you’ll get to participate in six different mini games and a bonus round. The game starts with the Pie Throw Practice Round, which doesn’t count for points but gives guests a chance to get the hang of things. Next is the Hamm & Eggs game featuring Buttercup from Toy Story 3 where guests throw eggs to get points. After that it’s Rex and Trixie’s Dino Darts, which is a dart throwing game where guests pop balloons to raise their scores. During the Green Army Men Shoot Camp game, guests get to break plates by throwing baseballs! The Little Green Men make an appearance in Buzz Lightyear’s Flying Tossers, a game where guests throw rings to gain points. The last game is Woody’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shootin’ Gallery, which features a suction cup shooting game before guests finally reach the bonus round!

Mr. Potato Head
When Toy Story Midway Mania opened, the Carnival Barker Mr. Potato Head was one of the most advanced audio-animatronics at the time. Mr. Potato Head is 8 feet tall and interacts with guests in line through songs, jokes, and more! He even has the ability to remove one of his ears during his spiel.

Play Disney Parks App
Walt Disney World continues to try and improve the line waiting experience for guests through interactive queues, apps, and more. The Play Disney Parks App turns wait time into play time through location-based games, playlists, trivia, and more.
