The all-new Disney Skyliner will be opening to the public on Saturday, September 29, 2019 and the excitement for this new transportation system only continues to build! In the past Walt Disney World has offered guests complimentary transportation by bus, monorail, train, and ferry, but this latest mode of transportation gives guests a completely different view.
Traveling between Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be even easier thanks to this all-new complimentary transportation system! In addition to the two theme parks, the Disney Skyliner connects Disney’s Art of Animation, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and eventually the all-new Disney’s Riviera Resort. When Walt Disney World’s newest Disney Vacation Club Resort opens on December 16, 2019 it will offer guests 300 new vacation homes as well as tradition hotel reservations for non-members.
Each Disney Skyliner cabin is built to accommodate up to 10 guests and has the capability to include those traveling in wheelchairs or other assistive devices. Since the Disney Skyliner is always in motion, guests will make it to their destination in minutes!
These new cabins will add a pop of color to the skies at the Most Magical Place on Earth. There are eight vibrant colors and nearly 300 cabins feature graphics inspired by Disney characters, films, and attractions. From hitchhiking ghosts to Mickey Mouse, you never know which character you’ll end up with!
With the close proximity of the Epcot Area Resort Hotels, the Disney Skyliner also offers access to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Beach Club, and Disney’s Yacht Club through the Epcot station at the International Gateway! This gives guests more freedom than ever to resort hop across property quickly and with ease.
On Saturday, September 29, 2019 guests will officially take flight on the Disney Skyliner! So, if you’re headed to Walt Disney World resort after its opening day, don’t forget to try out the latest mode of Disney transportation for yourself.
