Disney Springs has some of the most interactive holiday décor of all the Walt Disney World parks, and the best part is that there is no ticket needed to enter the Springs. One of the most popular features is the Christmas Tree trail, but there are many other holiday photo opportunities for families to take advantage of this season.

Strolling through Disney Spring’s Christmas Tree Trail is a tradition for many avid Disney-goer families, and one of the most festive places for photos. The trail consists of 15 differently themed 7-foot trees. A few of the trees are inspired by classic characters like Cinderella. Others represent rides such as the Haunted Mansion, or science fiction thriller movies like Star Wars. As guests wander through the festive forest there will be “snow” and holiday music. As an added bonus, annual passholders will receive all their photos, taken professionally by a PhotoPass cast member, right from the Disney Experience app for free.

Located at the center of the Christmas Tree Trail is Santa’s Chalet. Guests are able to meet jolly Kris Kringle until he has to travel back to the North Pole on December 24th. Dense evergreens, poinsettias and ornamented garland surround Santa’s cozy cottage. Annual passholders enjoy free photos taken by elves, as well.

At the center of Disney Springs Town Center is an enormous tree, lit up in classic Christmas fashion. This a great spot to get photos in front of a tree that will fit the entire family. The surrounding palm trees are adorned in twinkling lights, providing a romantic, festive atmosphere for shopping and dining. While meandering through the town center, be sure to visit the new Vivoli Il Gelateria for a frozen hot chocolate affoagto. An affogato consist of two scoops of ice cream and a shot of espresso with festive flavors and toppings, such as marshmallows and fudge.

Our favorite characters – Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto – have also joined in on the festivities as frozen, caroling statues. The scene is complete with a Happy Holidays banner and flocked Christmas trees. These statues are the perfect height for young guests to pose with the characters. The statues are located on the West Side of Disney Springs.

Guests will feel like they stepped into The Nutcracker when they interact with live toy soldiers dressed in red coats, brass buttons and top hats. Photos can be taken with these larger-than-life characters at The Landing section of Disney Springs.

Have a holly jolly Christmas with photographic memories at Disney Springs. Guests will not be disappointed with the interactive decorations this holiday season.
