Let the good times roll! With the beginning of this new month comes the excitement of Mardi Gras. While the Carnival Season is normally only celebrated in New Orleans, Disney Springs is joining the festival fun this year.

When it comes to the Mardi Gras season, food is a big part of the fun in the Big Easy. Walt Disney World’s shopping and dining district has quite a few festival eats available for guests to try during this experience. House of Blues Restaurant & Bar will be serving up New Orleans classics like their Steak Po’ Boy (only available for this event), Gumbo, Jambalya and a sweet Bourbon Bread Pudding. In addition to these grab-and-go NOLA bites, from March 1-5 guests can enjoy live music, prizes, and drink specials in the House of Blues Courtyard. Since no reservation or cover is required for this event, make sure you make the time to check it out.

Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante is celebrating this season in their own way with Carnevale. This annual festival began in Venice, Italy and is all about celebrating life together through dancing, food and drink. The celebration includes live entertainment, featuring acts like mimes, jugglers, stilt walkers, folk dancers, face painters and more. For a limited time, the restaurant will be offering the prix fixe “Feast of Carnevale” menu selections, and guests who book a reservation before March 5 will get a front-row seat to all of the action.

Lastly, it’s not a true Mardi Gras party without some purple, green and gold. Dress the part for Fat Tuesday with Disney’s Mardi Gras-inspired Minnie Ears, featuring feathers, fun patterns and a beautiful bow. These special ears can be found around the shops at the Walt Disney World resort, and specifically inside the World of Disney store at Disney Springs.
