Pandora – The World of Avatar is now open at Disney's Animal Kingdom. This massive new expansion has brought exciting new rides and thrilling experiences to an already amazing theme park. There's so much to see and do in Pandora that you can spend all day there. It's filled with breathtaking scenery, exhilarating attractions, unique merchandise and some of the best food in Disney World. Here are the most delicious reasons to check out Pandora's main restaurant, Satu'li Canteen.

Satu'li Canteen: Unique Quick Service Dining
From the moment you enter Pandora you're transported to another world, and the land's main restaurant is no exception. The building is themed to look like an old military style mess hall, left behind by the RDA (the bad guys in the Avatar film). As the story goes, the building has been converted by "Alpha Centauri Expeditions" for travelers to Pandora to enjoy a nice relaxing meal. The dining hall is decorated in elaborate Na'vi artwork. Some artifacts are on display including bowls, spears and other tools used by the Na'vi. Satu'li uses real plates and silverware, setting it apart from other quick-service locations. Instrumental music plays in the background as the dining hall is lit warmly from natural sunlight that pours in through large picture windows. All of this makes for a unique and relaxing environment for you and your family to dine.

Animal Kingdom’s Satu’li Canteen offers delicious lunch options including steak

Satu'li's Lunch & Dinner - Customizable to Your Taste
Another big factor that sets this restaurant apart from other standard theme park options are the Satu'li Bowls. You select a protein, base and sauce to create your own meal. You can choose from wood-fired grilled chicken or beef, panko-breaded fish or crispy tofu as your protein. Select a grain or veggie as your base, and choose from three sauce options. If you're not sure which sauce to order, you can ask for it on the side. You can even order more than one sauce or try them all! One of the more popular choices on the menu are the Steamed "Pod" Bao Buns, available in Curry Vegetable or Cheeseburger. Everyone has to try the burger pods at least once because they're just so different. They really taste like all the ingredients of a cheeseburger mixed together, even the ketchup! Kid options also include a dough-wrapped hot dog and cheese quesadilla, in addition to kid-sized bowls and burger buns.

Satisfy your sweet tooth at Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar

Desserts Are Out of this World and the Drinks are Colorful
No trip to Satu'li Canteen would be complete without dessert. You can choose from a dense chocolate cake that might look small but packs a huge punch of choco-flavor! But, the fan-favorite is the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse. It's just the right balance of sweet and creamy, served with a dollop of passion fruit curd on top. It's as much a work of art as it is delicious. To drink, try the non-alcoholic Pandoran Sunrise, a refreshing blend of tropical juices and Powerade Melon. It's the perfect pick-me-up in the morning or a nice way to cool off the afternoon. Satu'li offers several draft beers on tap including two you'll only find in Pandora: Hawkes' Grog Ale is a light ale that's a brilliant green color and Mo'ara High Country Ale is a rich amber beer. Banshee wines from Sonoma and a blue Dreamwalker Sangria are also available.

Start the day off with a hearty breakfast at Satu’li Canteen in Animal Kingdom

Breakfast at Satu'li is Anything But Ordinary
Early risers can enjoy a whole different side of Satu'li Canteen with a completely different menu available in the morning. The steamed pods are back, but this time they're filled with scrambled eggs, bacon and spinach – creating an entire omelet you can eat with your hands! The Cinnamon Swirl French Toast is cut thick and topped off with a dollop of blueberry cream cheese. The Steak and Eggs is practically a gourmet meal with its vegetable goat cheese frittata and side of fresh arugula. There's even a Steel Cut Oatmeal that you must be 21 years of age or older to order because it contains bourbon-soaked raisins. Don't worry, the kids have lots of options too, from cereal to French toast.

Satu’li Canteen at Pandora – The World of Avatar makes things easy with mobile ordering

Mobile Order Makes Planning Your Meal Easy
Satu'li Canteen is the first location in Disney World to offer their new Mobile Order service. This allows you to pre-order your food directly from the My Disney Experience app so it's ready when you get there. No waiting in line! You can take your time perusing the menu and adding items to your virtual cart while waiting in line for Avatar Flight of Passage – or from anywhere in the park. Then when you arrive at the restaurant select the "I'm Here" button and they'll start preparing your food. When it's ready your app will alert you so you can pick it up from the designated window. It really takes the stress out of your meal!
