SeaWorld Orlando’s award-winning Christmas Celebration has returned and this year it has more entertainment, lights and celebrations than ever before! On select dates from now through January 3, the Orlando theme park invites guests to experience a winter wonderland full of more than 3 million beautiful lights, thrilling attractions including new holiday experiences at Wild Arctic Plaza, shows and all-new delicious holiday treats. Here’s a closer look at SeaWorld Orlando’s Christmas Celebration:

 

 

Sea of Trees
The main feature of SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration is the magical Sea of Trees. This can’t miss entertainment brings more than 100 trees that dazzle and dance to holiday tunes at SeaWorld’s lagoon. As the trees glisten and glow, keep your eye on the giant centerpiece that towers 70 feet above the water.

Ice Skating at SeaWorld Orlando
There aren’t many places to ice skate in Central Florida yet SeaWorld Orlando invites guests to lace up and try their hand at the winter sport. During the day, park guests will have the opportunity to ice skate at Bayside Stadium. At night, you can turn your attention to the pros as they show off their talents during the show “Winter Wonderland on Ice”. Watch in awe as skaters bring a show-stopping, ice skating extravaganza full of Christmas magic, sparkling trees and towering fountains.

ALL-NEW Magical Holiday Shows & Entertainment
There is a lot of new holiday magic happening at this year’s Christmas Celebration. Starting with the all-new nighttime fireworks show - “Holiday Reflections.” The display is set to the sounds of the season and can be seen lighting up the sky above the Sea of Trees.

That holiday magic continues throughout the park with stilt walkers at the Waterfront and in Wild Arctic Plaza, jump-roping toy soldiers, and Elf Story Chair Stacking in Sharks Plaza. And of course Santa, Rudolph and Bumble! will be available for photos. Rudolph and Bumble will be housed in the Wild Arctic, while Santa can be found at his new workshop in the Shoppes at the Waterfront. Guests can also dine with Santa for an additional cost.

In Sesame Street Land make sure to catch the Sesame Street Christmas Parade, where Sesame Street characters ready for the Christmas season. Additionally, families who come to the park on Saturday mornings can have breakfast with their friends from Sesame Street for an additional cost. Elmo's Christmas Wish is also back this year on event mornings at Seaport Theater. Visitors can join Cookie Monster, Grover, Zoe and Rosita as they work together to help Elmo find his Christmas wish!

ALL-NEW Decadent Holiday Treats and Drinks
You won't have to look very far for the tastes of the season at this year’s Christmas Celebration. Be whisked away to a winter wonderland with traditional flavors like gingerbread, eggnog and peppermint found throughout the park Plus, you can indulge in a special holiday doughnut from an Orlando-based doughnut shop.  Some of the NEW food offerings include:

  • Monte Cristo Waffle – ham, turkey, Swiss cheese & cranberry glaze
  • Santa's Sweet & Savory Treat Doughnut Chicken Sandwich – honey Sriracha & pickles
  • The Main Event – fried turkey breast, andouille stuffing, cranberry gastric & brown gravy
  • Corn Husk Enconchada Tamale – carnitas & ancho mole poblano sauce
  • Christmas Bread Pudding – brioche bun, white chocolate, raspberry sauce & whipped cream
  • Arroz con Dulce – cinnamon dust & Caribbean rum raisin
  • Fresh Baked Deep-dish cookies – M&M, S'mores & Chocolate chip

PAir those treats with NEW seasonal drinks including:

  • Holiday Peppermint Eggnog – eggnog, white chocolate liquor, vanilla vodka & peppermint schnapps

The culinary experiences don’t end there either. Guests can also head to SeaFire Grill, to watch holiday movies while indulging in delicious holiday treats. The new Christmas Dining Hall at Voyagers Smokehouse also invites guests to enjoy seasonal culinary eats and refreshing Coca-Cola beverages.

More to Celebrate at SeaWorld Orlando
Hanukkah Celebration:
This year, guests can celebrate the Festival of Lights at SeaWorld! From December 18 through December 26, gather at the park for the traditional lighting of the menorah during Hanukkah. Big Bird will also be telling Hanukkah stories throughout the celebrations.

Kwanzaa Festivities: Celebrate Kwanzaa for the first time too! From December 26 through January 1, enjoy a time of reflection and celebration of African heritage with the nightly lighting of the Kinara. Story Time with Big Bird will also feature Kwanzaa stories throughout the celebrations.

New Year’s Eve: Say farewell to 2022 with one final showing of SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration, before ringing in 2023 amongst glowing vibrant fireworks on December 31.
