The next time you dine at Walt Disney World Resort make sure you book a reservation for dinner at Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Disney restaurant recently received the prestigious AAA Diamond and Forbes Travel Guide Stars awards.

It’s not a huge shock that Victoria & Albert’s received the AAA Five Diamond Award this year. The restaurant has received the award each year since 2000. It’s also not super surprising that Victoria & Albert’s has taken away the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award. This is their second year doing so. What is impressive is that it is the only restaurant in the state of Florida to be awarded both. There are currently only 26 other restaurants in the United States who have earned both awards.

So, what earns a AAA rating? AAA rates and approves nearly 32,000 restaurants throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Only 0.2 percent are awarded the AAA Five Diamond rating and 2.1 percent receive the AAA Four Diamond. The rating represents a combination of overall food, service, decor and ambiance.

And what about Forbes Travel Guide? The Guide rates over 1,600 restaurants across the globe with only 69 restaurants receiving the preeminent Five-Star rating. Forbes Travel Guide’s expert inspectors test each restaurant against up to 900 rigorous standards. Impressive indeed.
