Florida residents have the advantage of being able to see and experience everything Walt Disney World has to offer on a regular basis. But there are some things Florida residents either might not know about or might never get to. Today, let’s look at the hidden gems Epcot has to offer and how Florida residents can take advantage of the park’s fun.
Epcot Flower & Garden Festival
The Epcot Flower & Garden Festival is still blooming at Epcot. The annual festival runs through June 4 with gorgeous topiaries, gardens, kids entertainment and the popular Garden Rocks Concert Series. Don’t miss Jon Secada May 28 through 29; Blood, Sweat and Tears May 30 through June 1 and Eddi Palmierei from June 2 through June 3.
Soarin’ Around the World
While you wait to hop on board the flight on Soarin Around the World, test your trivia knowledge with Soarin’ Challenge, now available on the Play Disney Parks App.
Meet Disney Characters
You’re bound to see a Disney character or two at Epcot but with the character crawl around World Showcase you’ll bump into Donald Duck in Mexico, Mulan in China, Snow White in Germany, Belle in France and more.
Adults can enjoy their own fun with the Wine Walk. Start at one of three locations in World Showcase (Weinkeller in Germany, Enoteca Castello in Italy, and Aux Vins de France in France) by purchasing a special passport and map. Enjoy six specially selected wines from three locations and a souvenir acrylic wine glass.
After riding with Nemo & Friends, get a better look at clown fish, sharks and more in the massive 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium inside The Seas.
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth
Epcot’s longtime fireworks show, IllumiNations: Reflection of Earth is in its final run at the Orlando theme park. Spend your night taking in the incredible show from one of many World Showcase countries such as Mexico, France, or Italy. The lasers, lights and fireworks display ends September 30, 2019.
Right now, Florida residents can save up to $60 off gate prices at Walt Disney World.
