Universal Orlando has announced the return of a fan-favorite haunted house for its annual Halloween Horror Nights 2018. The zombie-centric maze, Dead Exposure: - Patient Zero will return with even more frights.

The Orlando theme park had a Dead Exposure house back in 2008 when Bloody Mary was the ICON. The original house shook guests to their core. Guests would enter the maze, which was completely dark except for occasional bright flashes revealing the zombie horde ready to attack.

This time around, it’s more of the same except Dead Exposure - Patient Zero takes place in Paris in 1982. The city of lights has gone dark as chaos spreads, unchecked. The undead swarm the streets while the military forces those not affected into quarantine for a vaccination. It’s the only chance to ward off the sickness but the side effect is blindness.

Just like before, once guests enter the haunted house, things will go dark. You won’t know which way to go or what is about to attack you. Not being able to see anything adds a completely different level of fear as you try desperately to get out of the maze unaffected.

Dead Exposure: Patient Zero was the second house announced for Halloween Horror Nights 28 and the first original house. Other HHN 28 houses include one based on the Netflix original Stranger Things and the newly announced Trick ‘r Treat house.

Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights between September 14 and November 3. Stay tuned for more details.
