Use Disney’s Child Swap Service for rides like Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom and more!

Did you know you don’t have to miss out on a roller coaster ride just because you have your toddlers in tow? That’s right. Thanks to the Rider Switch program at Walt Disney World you can still experience all of the thrills of your favorite ride even when the kids are with you!

With the Rider Switch Program, one adult can wait with the non-rider while you and whoever else in your party wants to experience the attraction. The waiting adult can then board the attraction when another adult returns to their party without having to wait in the regular line again.

Here’s how it works:

In order to use Rider Switch you must first make sure the program is offered at an attraction. Simply ask a Disney Cast Member. Then you’ll enter the normal queue line with your entire party. At least one adult and whoever else will not be riding the ride the first go will be issued a Rider Switch Pass and will be asked to wait in a designated area. The remaining members will experience the attraction. After the ride and the members of your group return to the designated area, the adults in the second group get a turn. The second group gets to board the ride without having to wait in the queue line again. The Rider Switch Pass must be presented to a Cast Member at this time.

Only two guests are allowed per Rider Switch. Rider Switch is available at all 4 Walt Disney World theme parks.
