Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar to Open this Fall at Disney Springs

Adventurers looking for a unique place to eat during their Walt Disney World trip will soon be able to enjoy a meal with the ultimate adventurer – Indiana Jones. Coming this fall to Disney Springs, an Indiana Jones-themed restaurant will takes guests on a voyage where you’ll come in contact with some of Indiana Jones’ most famous characters.

Located between Paradiso 37 and the newly opened The Boathouse, the bar will be called Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, named after Indiana Jones’ longtime pilot, who famously flies him at the beginning of “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

If you’re expecting Primate Parfait and Cristpy Coleoptera, as seen in “Temple of Doom” you won’t find them on the menu. What you will find are unique cocktails like the “Hovito Mojito” with Barsol Quebranta Pisco, fresh lime juice and simple syrup as well as small plates such as “Air Pirates Everything Pretzels” with house-made mustard and beer cheese fondue and “Rolling Boulder Meatballs.”

The new Disney Springs restaurant bar will be designed to look like the inside of an old airplane complete with aviation décor including plane propellers for ceiling fans, vintage travel posters and correspondence with Indiana Jones himself. Jock Lindsey’s will seat 150 and feature a main room with an expansive bar and a dry-docked steamboat aptly named “Reggie” (which was the name of Lindsey’s pet snake) that serves as the patio. According to Disney, Lindsey’s pet snake is an important factor to remember!

Disney Springs is expected to be complete by 2016. The project doubles the number of shops and restaurants currently at Downtown Disney, making it one million square feet of entertainment space when finished.
