Universal Orlando has revealed the latest haunted house coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2019, and it’s a real nightmare.

This Halloween, you are your own worst enemy as Universal Orlando invites you to step inside Jordan Peele’s Us and come in contact with the Tethered.

The Us maze will open in 1986 with a young Adelaide Wilson, who has a creepy encounter with her own doppelgänger while exploring a funhouse at a fair. From there things only get worse, “thrusting guests into the chaos of the Tethered uprising as they emerge from their tunnels to murder their privileged doubles in a nationwide coordinated act of rebellion,” a Universal press release said. “The Us maze will place guests at the heart of this living nightmare, where they quickly realize they are their own worst enemy.”

The filmmakers behind the haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights often work with Universal team to help bring the horror to life, and Peele has given his blessing for the upcoming Us house. “It’s been a lifelong ambition of mine to create a monster that would scare people on Halloween, so having the Tethered join such esteemed company is a dream come true,” the writer-director said in a statement.

Halloween Horror Nights returns to Universal Studios Florida on select nights from Sept. 6 - Nov. 2. This year’s event will include 10 haunted houses, 5 scare zones, live entertainment and more.
