You can now meet Joy & Sadness at the Epcot Character Spot

The Epcot Character Spot is about to get a few a little more emotional! Beginning next month Joy and Sadness from the hit Disney/Pixar film “Inside Out” will be the newest characters to show up at the character hot spot.

The meet-up area, located on the west side of the park’s Future World is already home to Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy, all of whom are located in their cartoon clubhouse of the future.

In “Inside Out,” which opened last summer, Joy and Sadness are two of the emotions who help guide Riley through life after a sudden move to San Francisco. The duo are on their way to Headquarters and you will be able to journey through Riley’s long-term memory, catch a glimpse of her Islands of Personality before joining them at the console.

In the movie, Joy was voiced by Amy Poehler and Blue was the voice of Phyllis Smith best known for her role as Phyllis in “The Office.”

With discount tickets to Epcot, you can also meet Baymax from Big Hero 6

Across the way, guests can also step into a makeshift robotics workshop and visit with everybody’s favorite healthcare professional and robot Baymax from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Big Hero 6.”

Other characters with meet-and-greet duties at Epcot include Snow White, Mulan, Belle, Jasmine, Aladdin, Alice, Mary Poppins, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck.
