
The force is strong with Walt Disney World today as the Orlando theme park celebrates May the 4th. The day may be just another for some but for Star Wars fans it is a day where fans can come together and celebrate the Star Wars films and animated TV series. What better place to commemorate the saga than with a visit to the future home of the Star Wars Land? Celebrate the day like a Jedi with the following attractions: Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple – If you really want to become a Jedi then you must go through training. Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple will teach you the magical ways of the Jedi’s. Using the force, wit and lightsabers learn from the best of them and then put your new skills to the test when you duel the Seventh Sister Inquisitor and Darth Vader. Star Wars Launch Bay – Learn more about your favorite Jedi with a stop at Star Wars Launch Bay. Here check out movie props, play games, greet Star Wars heroes and villains in immersive special exhibits. You can explore replica props, models, costumes, artifacts and much more! Best of all you get to meet Chewbacca and the evil Kylo Ren! Star Tours – The Adventures Continue – Experience all of the planets, characters and battles of Star Wars in Star Tours – The Adventures Continue. This thrilling ride lets guests experience places like Naboo and Coruscant as well as such characters as C3PO and it will even take you to a new destination from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Symphony in the Stars – Cap off the day with a spectacular fireworks show in a galaxy far, far away at Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular. Enjoy classic Star Wars music with new themes from Star Wars: The Force Awakens as gorgeous fireworks explode above your head. The fireworks act out scenes from the saga for a show you won’t soon forget. Walt Disney World will also celebrate May 4th with Star Wars: Force for Change. Adults and youth will be able to buy t-shirts that feature the logo for the upcoming film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. These shirts are the first product for the new film created especially for Disney Parks. Twenty-five percent of the retail sale price will be donated to U.S. Fund for UNICEF in support of UNICEF Kid Power. This organization gives kids the power to save lives by giving kids the opportunity to go on missions, earn points and unlock therapeutic food packets for malnourished children around the world.
