Cinderella Castle lights up with new Once Upon a Time show at Magic Kingdom

Nighttime is the right time at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Walt Disney World just announced the new nighttime projection show, “Once Upon a Time,” will debut at the park on November 4.

Join Mrs. Potts from “Beauty and the Beast” as she shares bedtime stories with Chip, and takes all of us on a magical journey through adventurous scenes from Disney films “Cinderella,” “Peter Pan,” “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.”

Beloved Disney characters come alive in new Once Upon a Time Projection show.

The show will recreate scenes from each Disney film including a flight with Peter Pan from London to Neverland, the Mad Hatter’s tea party, and more. The nighttime projection culminates with classic scenes from “Beauty and the Beast” including the Beast waltzing with Belle, his duel with Gaston and finally his transformation into the Prince. Mrs. Potts and Chip will end their bedtime story with a grand finale that includes appearances by more Disney film characters as well as fireworks bursting from above the Castle.

The castle projection show uses projection mapping technology to produce a dazzling three-dimensional effect that covers every nook and cranny of Cinderella Castle from its base to the tips of it stores and turrets.

“Once Upon a Time” will replace the current “Celebrate the Magic” projection show, which ends its run the day before on November 3.
