Disney’s Hollywood Studios isn’t the only park undergoing some changes to its attraction lineup in 2016. Disney’s Animal Kingdom will welcome two new attractions and a new restaurant as we head into the New Year. River of Lights, Sunset Kilimanjaro Safaris and Tiffins Restaurant will transform the animal park like never before! When the new River of Lights show opens at Disney’s Animal Kingdom next year it will be one of the most powerful productions the park has ever put on. The show will take place on Discovery River between Discovery Island and Expedition Everest and will include water and light special effects, incredible music and a message that reflects that of giving. As you watch the water come to life through light, you’ll also be able to take in the incredible Tree of Life in the background. Magical fireflies will help light up the tree, revealing moments of wonder and enchantment. In addition to River of Lights, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will welcome another nighttime experience – Sunset Kilimanjaro Safaris. Guests will soon be able to travel through the African savanna and take in the wild animals just as the sun begins to set. There will also be two new species on the savanna after dark including African wild dogs and hyenas. 
Meanwhile, Animal Kingdom guests can refuel from all of the new park fun at Tiffins Restaurant. Tiffins will celebrate the art of traveling with a diverse menu featuring foods from all over the world. The restaurant’s name was inspired by the word “tiffin,” which is an Indian English word for midday meal or a type of container used to carry food while traveling. Tiffins will be open for both lunch and dinner and will include waterfront views from indoor and outdoor seating. Stay tuned for more details about the “River of Light” show, Sunset Kilimanjaro Safaris and Tiffins Signature Restaurant coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. In the meantime you can DAK the Halls this Christmas at the park with a special animal themed tree displayed outside of the park’s entrance. Mickey and Minnie will also be dressed in their best holiday garb at Adventurer’s Outpost and live entertainers will be entertaining throughout the park.
