Another restaurant has been announced for the upcoming Disney Springs. The Edison, an “Industrial Gothic”-style restaurant, bar and nightlife destination will have an atmosphere centered on the invention and imagination of the 1920s. The space will have 35-foot ceilings and themed rooms including “The Tesla Lounge,” “The Radio Room,” “The Patent Office,” ‘Waterfront Patio,” “Telegraph Lounge” and more.
The Edison, a concept from Patina Restaurant Group and Kinetescape’s Andrew Meieran, will be considerably smaller than its L.A. location but will still offer classic American food and craft cocktails. The entertainment will include live music, cabaret performances, contortionists, palm readers and DJs.
Nick Valenti, restaurateur and CEO of Patina Restaurant Group, said in a statement, “We are delighted to bring this extraordinary destination to the new Disney Springs.”
This isn’t Patina Group’s first restaurant in Walt Disney World. The company also has restaurants Tutto Italia Ristorante and Via Napoli in Epcot.
In addition to The Edison, Disney Springs also announced more details about STK Orlando. New renderings show rooftop dining, the only STK location to have this. The restaurant will offer a modern twist on the traditional American steakhouse featuring a sleek lounge with a DJ, and of course that rooftop dining.
Meanwhile, Morimoto Asia, the first pan-Asian restaurant from celebrity Chef Masaharu Morimoto continues to progress. Morimoto’s will whisk guests away on an Asian culinary adventure with flavors from across Asia and exhibition kitchens showcasing the continent’s traditions.
Both STK and Morimoto will debut later this year. The Edison will open in 2016.
The Edison, STK and Morimoto are just a few of the new additions to Downtown Disney, which is undergoing the biggest expansion in its history. Other restaurants coming to Disney Springs include:
