Universal Orlando is throwing it back for Halloween Horror Nights 28. Guests will walk through haunted houses and scare zones based on 80’s horror slasher films, cult classics and original nightmares. The Orlando theme park recently announced two new 1980’s horror-themed scare zones - The Revenge of Chucky and Killer Klowns From Outer Space.

The Revenge of Chucky scare zone will feature a toy fair that’s turned deadly with evil twists on childhood toys from the past including murderous monkeys, a deadly board game, and the titular doll.

In Killer Klowns From Outer Space scare zone, don’t be surprised if you suddenly find yourself lured in by the sweet smell of cotton candy. As you enter you notice something is very wrong, and the cotton candy is actually made out of unsuspecting victims. Try to escape the killer clowns and you just might come up against the ray guns, which turns victims into grotesque cotton candy snacks.

Revenge of Chucky and Killer Klowns From Outer Space are the final scare zones announced for this year’s event. They will join Vamp 85: New Year’s Eve, Twisted Tradition and The Harvest.

The haunted houses so far include Stranger Things, Dead Exposure - Patient Zero and Trick ‘r Treat.

Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights runs for September 14 through November 3 and will feature 10 haunted houses in total - the most in the event’s history, as well as five scare zones and a live show.
