It’s date night in Orlando and there are plenty of places to enjoy a fun, relaxing, romantic and adventurous night out. Whether you’re looking to enjoy Orlando theme parks, drink tours, comedy or fireworks here are 10 perfect date night ideas in Orlando:
Universal’s CityWalk
The date night is your oyster at Universal’s CityWalk. Enjoy everything from dinner and a movie to a little more adventure like mini golf or get out and party with your significant other with karaoke, dancing, dueling pianos, clubs and more. You can even take in the wild and wacky show Blue Man Group. Bonus, there is free parking after 6 p.m.
Disney Springs
Walt Disney World’s entertainment district offers plenty to do for a fun and romantic date night. The outdoor escape features 120-acres of unique boutiques, award-winning restaurants and entertainment in four distinct neighborhoods: The Landing, Marketplace, West Side and Town Center. Our favorite date night at Disney Springs is dinner at one of the district’s many restaurants and a movie at the 24-screen AMC multiplex.
Disney’s Boardwalk
Take a step back in time at Disney’s Boardwalk, a quarter-mile promenade with endless charm and architecture inspired by the 20th century coastal destinations like Coney Island. At this romantic little spot you can enjoy street entertainers, take a boat ride through Disney waterways, and tour one-of-a-kind shops.
Gondola Ride at the Thirsty Fish Bear at Loews Portofino Bay Resort
Nothing says romance like a trip to Venice. With the gondola ride at the Thirsty Fish Bear at Loews Portofino Bay hotel on Universal Orlando property, you can experience the City of Water without the 14-hour flight. Enjoy a relaxing gondola ride then lounge at the Thirsty Fish with a Peroni or prosecco and savory small plates.
A Ride on ICON Orlando
Another of Orlando’s entertainment districts, ICON 360 offers plenty for a fun date night, including the ICON Orlando. The tallest observation wheel on the east coast of the United States, the ICON takes couples 400 feet up for breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding central Florida area.
Lake Eola Park
Couples can get cozy on Lake Eola by watching the twice-nightly light shows at the lake, movies in the park during summer, and free concerts at Walt Disney Amphitheater.
Sip on Vino at Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards
Wine connoisseurs can sip on samples of award-wining wines at Florida’s largest winery. Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards offers free tours that include a video presentation, views of rolling fruit fields and a tasting. It also hosts flavorful festivals every month.
Orlando Brewing Company
If you prefer beer over wine check out Orlando Brewing Company. The brewery is one of only 10 organic breweries in America, and the only one in the Southeast. The brewery offers free tours on a first come, first served basis. Afterwards, stick around and enjoy the other brews on tap. The taproom is open until 9:00 p.m. or later.
A Comedy Show
If you’re looking for a little magic and laughter on your next date night check out the Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show. The show features professional entertainer Tony Brent who combines comedy, magic and dinner for a hilariously fun night out.
Watch Disney Fireworks
Cap off your date night with a gorgeous firework display at Walt Disney World. The Orlando theme park currently offers fireworks displays at three of the four theme parks, and you don’t actually have to be at any of them to see the show. Disney’s fireworks are so explosive there are some viewing areas that aren’t inside the park including Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
