The good news? There are many ticket options for Walt Disney World. But, picking the right one can be a challenge. Should you choose one park per day or get a Park Hopper pass? Are you looking to add a day at the water parks to your visit? And which passes are best when traveling with young children? We have answers to all of these questions and more, along with helpful tips for saving money.

1-Day Disney World Tickets
If you're only planning on visiting Disney World for one day, you can purchase a 1-Day pass. You will only be able to visit one of the four Disney World theme parks using this type of ticket. Also, pricing will vary based on time of year and also on which park you plan on visiting. If you're going to do other things around Orlando and only have time to visit a Disney World park for one day, this ticket is your best option — however, if you're looking to spend two or more days at the Disney parks, you can save money with one of the other options.

Disney World Base Tickets
Base Tickets can be used at any of the four Disney World theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom. You can only visit one park per day using Base Tickets. You will save money when purchasing multi-day Base Tickets over 1-Day passes, but you can only choose one park to visit per day.

Base Tickets are a good option when you are traveling with young children. Touring the parks can take a bit more time with children and they may not be up to hopping from park to park within the same day. Also, if this is your first trip to Walt Disney World, you may want to stick to Base Tickets so you can enjoy everything there is to offer at one park per day. The downside to Base Tickets is that you will be stuck at the same park for the day after you enter. If the crowds are bigger than you expected, or if you change your mind and decide you'd rather go to a different park for dinner or to see the fireworks, you will not be able to.

Disney World Park Hopper
Park Hopper tickets are the most popular option when visiting Walt Disney World. They offer great flexibility when planning your day at the parks and you can save a lot of money by purchasing multi-day Park Hopper passes. You do not need to use your passes on consecutive days either. You will have 14 days to use all your passes, starting from the first day you use one. The more days you purchase the more money you will save. You can even get a 5th day free when you buy a 4-day Park Hopper ticket now!

Park Hoppers are the perfect option for adults traveling alone or for families with teens or older kids. They allow you to visit multiple parks on the same day, which opens up many possibilities for your vacation. Disney World offers free transportation between parks that makes it easy to hop around. This type of pass gives you the freedom to spend the day in any park of your choosing and then go to a different park to see a nighttime fireworks show. The Park Hopper ability also opens up the possibility of dining at different parks for different meals. For example: You can make a dining reservation for a restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom, but spend the rest of the day enjoying the attractions at the Magic Kingdom.

Park Hopper Plus
One of the best ways to make the most of your Walt Disney World vacation is to purchase a Park Hopper Plus ticket. You get all of the benefits of the Park Hopper, where you can visit multiple parks on the same day, plus additional benefits. With the Plus option, you can add one additional day of fun at either of the two Disney water parks: Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon – or one of the two miniature golf courses: Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland – or you could even play a real round of golf at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course. This option is a great way to experience more of what Disney World has to offer.

7-Day and 10-Day Park Hopper Plus
These are the ultimate Disney World vacation passes. Not only do you receive all of the benefits of the Park Hopper Plus pass, but they allow you to do a lot more at the parks. For less than $53 a day, you can visit all four Disney World theme parks as many times as you want for 10 days. For only $150 more you can go from a 3-day Park Hopper Plus pass to a 10-Day Park Hopper Plus pass. That's like getting 7 more days for the price of 1 day. (It's only $125 more to go from 3 to 7 days.)

Even if you're not planning on using all of those days at the parks, this type of pass would allow you incredible flexibility during your vacation. You could pop in just to enjoy dinner and the fireworks at Epcot after spending the day at the hotel pool if you wanted. You could spend a day relaxing at the Magic Kingdom, taking the path less traveled, without worrying about running around to ride everything in one day. There's even scavenger hunts and interactive games for your family to enjoy when you have more time in the parks.
